Course Description

Sample 1:-

Heartcode BLS is the AHA’s BLS using the blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a participant completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

Sample 2:- 

Heartcode BLS is the online portion of BLS blended learning. It uses a variety of eLearning assets such as CAA(Cognitive Assessment Activities), dramatizations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. After completing the online portion, students must attend a structured Instructor-led hands-on session that focuses on meaningful skills practise, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). 

We follow the 2020 American Health Association Guidelines for CPR & ECC. These guidelines are based on the most current and comprehensive review of resuscitation science, systems, protocols, and education. 


Learning Objectives:

After successfully completing the full HeartCode BLS Course (online portion, followed by a hands-on session), students should know:

  • The steps of the Chains of Survival
  • How to perform high-quality CPR for an adult, a child, and an infant
  • How to use an AED
  • Effective team dynamics in a multi rescuer resuscitation
  • How to treat special considerations in basic life support
  • How to relieve foreign-body airway obstruction for an adult, a child, and an infant,

Course Completion:

Complete the online portion + hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.


Course Duration:
  • Online session: 1.5 hours
  • Instructor-led hands-on session: 2-3 Hours

Healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and pre-hospital settings. 


Certification:
  • Certification from the American Heart Association provided via email valid for 2 years
  • Certificate of Course completion provided by Eduscope International
  • CME points are accredited by the Dubai Health Authority, provided after course completion by Eduscope International
