PREPARATORY COURSE FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS
Eligibility Criteria:
This course is conducted for the students who successfully passed the entrance exam and got admission for the first year.
1) FIRST AID AND REANIMATION: (CREDIT TRANSFER COURSE)
Course Duration: 2 Days
This course allows you to get EXEMPTED from the compulsory subject “First Aid and Reanimation” to be taken in the 1st year, according to the university curriculum. This will give you time to study other subjects which needs more attention.
All Certificates, documents and details required for credit transfer will be handed over on the same day.
2) BIO STATISTICS:
Course Duration: 5 Days
Bio statistics is the branch of statistics responsible for the proper interpretation of scientific data generated in the biology, public health and other health sciences.
The course will cover everything from the basics to the highest ideas encompassed in the syllabus pertaining to medical students. This will be specially useful to students who opted out of mathematics during their high school.
3) BIOPHYSICS:
Course Duration: 10 Days
It is an interdisciplinary science that provides a quantitative description of the physical principles of biology and medicine. Every medical student has to study biophysics as it has links to other subjects like Physiology, Clinical physiology & Radiology.
This course assists the students, get well acquainted to the syllabus as well as get clear understanding of principles of physics and their link with biological phenomenon. Great attention to detail will be given to the concepts as a lot of students have not taken physics in high school.
4) MEDICAL CHEMISTRY:
Course Duration: 15 Days
Medicinal chemistry is the discipline of chemistry that is concerned with the design, development and synthesis of pharmaceutical drugs. The discipline combines expertise from chemistry and pharmacology to identify, develop and synthesize chemical agents that have a therapeutic use and to evaluate the properties of existing drugs.
In this course bio-organic section of the syllabus will be covered. This will be perfect for the students to refresh their basics and learn more advanced concepts of the subject.
